Mosaic members voting in John Pope as the first of a future pastoral team at Mosaic
Update on Mosaic church
After years of praying, planning, and finally team development, Mosaic launched in January with a passion to share Christ with Mesa. They have settled into a steady rhythm each week at the AMC Theater they are renting for Sunday worship.
Encouraging stories abound as people who had no church home find Mosaic. One man is 71 and hadn’t been to church since he was a teenager in Minnesota. He’s making great spiritual progress. Another is a couple that moved from Ohio over a year ago. They were lonely, isolated, and didn't know where to turn. Unbeknownst to them, their former pastor in Ohio was a friend of John’s. On launch Sunday they texted him a picture that they’d returned to church and he replied, "I know John Pope. He is a wonderful pastor.” God continues to bring new stories of God’s gracious providence all the time.
Mosaic currently has an additional eight people in the pipeline to become members. And John was officially installed as the first pastor during Mosaic’s inaugural Family Meeting on April 27th!
Come Visit Mosaic
Our Executive Director, Chuck Newkirk, enjoyed visiting Mosaic Church this past Sunday to celebrate what God is doing at Mosaic. Consider visiting yourself, or even joining the rotation of occasional volunteers.
Prayer Requests:
As a network, let’s keep praying for our first collaborative plant. Please pray for those people who are considering membership at Mosaic. Pray also for wisdom as they consider moving to a new location that could really benefit some of their needs. Finally, pray for people hearing the gospel to respond with faith and repentance.
